Phillips cruises and tours are based in
Whittier, Alaska
Whittier
is a quaint little Alaskan town located approximately 60 miles southeast of
Anchorage. Whittier is unique for the fact that it is only accessible by
boat, or through a tunnel that serves both the railroad and vehicle traffic.
All mainland traffic through the Anton Anderson Tunnel, the longest tunnel
in North America, is scheduled incoming and outgoing as the tunnel is only
wide enough for one lane of traffic, or the train. This is a great day trip
for anyone looking for a unique Alaskan experience. Highly recommended.
